Biography

Dr. Brown's academic interests focus on the educational mission of the residency and the University
of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  He is the residency Curriculum Director focused on the implementation of the residency didactic curriculum.  A part of this role, he works within the residency to develop and organize the residency
Emergency Medicine Education Conference, simulation offering, journal club, board review, intern orientation, and resident scholarly projects as co-chair of the resident scholarly project committee.

Within the medical school, his efforts include a course director role for the Evidence Based Medicine-Fundamentals course and teaching ethics and professionalism, acute care small group clinical cases, emergency medicine rotation related procedure labs, and a 4th year internship preparation course.
